Our Privacy-First Approach

Your feedback data stays on your device. Vibe Feedback stores all session data (transcriptions, element selectors, console errors, navigation history, and comments) locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data is never sent to our servers. You control when and how to export your data.

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect, store, or have access to:

• Your feedback session content
• Websites you visit or your browsing history
• Elements you select or console errors you capture
• Personal information such as your name, email, or location
• Any data from the web pages you provide feedback on

Voice Recording & Transcription

When you use the voice recording feature:

• Your audio is streamed to our transcription service via an encrypted connection
• Audio is processed in real-time and converted to text
• Audio is not stored — it is discarded immediately after transcription
• The resulting text transcription is stored locally on your device, not on our servers

License Verification

If you purchase a Pro subscription:

• Your license key is stored locally in your browser
• We verify license validity by checking the key against our licensing server
• Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe — we never see your payment details

Chrome Extension Permissions

Vibe Feedback requires certain permissions to function. Here's why we need each one:

• activeTab: To interact with the current tab when you use the element picker to select UI elements
• sidePanel: To display the feedback timeline in Chrome's side panel
• storage: To save your feedback session data locally in your browser
• tabs: To track page navigation events and get the current URL during feedback sessions
• scripting: To inject the element picker overlay and capture console errors on the current page
• debugger: To read JavaScript console errors from web pages for inclusion in bug reports
• host permissions (all URLs): To allow the extension to work on any website you want to provide feedback on

Data You Control

You have full control over your data:

• Export: Copy your session as Markdown or download as JSON anytime
• Clear: Delete all session data with one click
• Local storage: All data remains in your browser until you choose to export or clear it

What We Don't Do

• We don't sell or transfer your data to third parties
• We don't use your data for advertising or marketing purposes
• We don't track your browsing activity
• We don't store your voice recordings

Third-Party Services

• Transcription API: Processes voice audio in real-time (audio not stored)
• Stripe: Handles payment processing securely

Description of Service

Vibe Feedback is a Chrome extension that helps you capture website feedback through voice recordings, element selection, console error capture, and text comments. The extension exports feedback as Markdown or JSON for use with AI coding assistants and bug tracking tools.

Free Trial and Subscriptions

• New users receive a 24-hour free trial with access to all features
• After the trial, core features (element picker, comments, error capture, export) remain free
• Voice recording requires an active Pro subscription
• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, as selected at purchase
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through the customer portal

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the extension for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the extension
• Share your license key with others
• Use the extension to capture sensitive personal information without consent

Intellectual Property

Vibe Feedback and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Disclaimer of Warranties
